Electricians want better tools, and our innovative cutting and crimping tools help electricians get more done each work day. From planning to building to making a report, DEWALT® has everything electricians need to do their jobs. We’ll talk about a few of the most important steps in installing electricity on a job site and how DEWALT can help.

DEWALT  FOR DESIGN

A plan is the first step in everything. A plug-in for Autodesk® Revit® called DEWALT HangerWorksTM automates the design and placement of hangers and seismic bracing for electrical systems like conduit and cable trays. Engineering calculations are built into the programme to: (1) easily allow the sizing of hanger assemblies based on the weights of the system, (2) determine hanger locations based on building code requirements and user-defined project standards, and (3) find areas of concern through clash detection. The DEWALT HangerWorks software is made to save a lot of time and money in the BIM workflow.

DEWALT  FOR DRILL

DEWALT has a full line of cordless drills that can be used for drilling both concrete and wood. DEWALT has you covered whether you need OSHA-compliant Table-1 kits and shrouds for drilling post-install concrete anchors, 60V MAX* VSR stud and joist drills with E-Clutch® systems, or specialty angle and compact drills. Each drill is made to meet the drilling needs of a specific application, so you can get exactly what you need.

DEWALT  FOR ANCHOR

For hanging rods, DEWALT Engineered by PowersTM has a full line of mechanical, chemical, direct fastening, and light-duty anchors. Some highlights include the HangerMate®+ concrete screw, which is a one-piece steel anchor made for rod-hanging applications like fire protection systems, ventilation systems, electrical conduit, pipe hanging, and cable trays. The DEWALT Mini-Undercut+ mechanical anchors have been tested and approved by the ICC-ESR 3912 code for post-tension slabs. They are also perfect for places where cracked concrete anchors are approved. These are just a few of the anchors you can order from our full line.

DEWALT  FOR CUT

DEWALT has made cutting easier by making a 20V MAX* Threaded Rod Cutter and cable cutters that look like a guillotine. Both make cutting threaded rod and large diameter cables faster and safer for the user than older methods. The 20V MAX* Cable Cutter and 20V MAX* ACSR Cable Cutter are guillotine-style tools that make it easy and safe to cut copper, aluminium, and ACSR cable. The threaded rod cutter is made for the trades and cuts quickly, spark-free, and without burrs.

DEWALT  FOR STRIP

The DEWALT 20V MAX* XR® Cable Stripper has changed the way electricians strip cable for good. It strips cable quickly and cleanly to a consistent depth without the use of a knife. This lets electricians strip cable in hard-to-reach places and makes the area safer because there is no longer a blade sticking out. The cable stripper can take the jacket off of THHN and XHHW cables up to 4 inches deep without hurting the cable. Put down the knife and try something else.

DEWALT  FOR CRIMP

The DEWALT line of cordless cable crimpers includes a 12-ton 20V MAX* Died Cable Crimper and a 6-ton 20V MAX* Dieless Cable Crimper. Both can crimp from #8 to 750 MCM Cu/Al. and are made to deliver consistent quality terminations. All DEWALT crimpers have built-in intelligence that lets you check the pressure and figure out what’s wrong with the tool right away. The portable design and pivoting heads make it easy for the electrician to move around in tight spaces. The forward/reverse trigger switch makes it easy to use with one hand.
