Makita BO6050J Orbital Sander Demo & Review
Makita BO6050J Random Orbital Sander Review
In this short Safatco guide, we take a look at the Makita BO6050J random orbital sander.
For professional cleaning jobs, it has a 750-watt motor and can operate on 110 or 240 volts. The changeable speed dial lets you change how fast the orbits go, giving you a range of 1600 to 6800 turns per minute. Just pick the speed that works best for the job and the medium you’re working on. A sliding switch that you can lock if you don’t want to use it all the time controls the power.

Makita BO6050J: What are its features?
This Makita orbital sander has a 150-mm width, which is perfect for getting into tight, hard-to-reach places. The built-in dust collection works with either a dust bag or a dust cleaner. There is a handle on the side of the sander that can be put on either side to make it easier to hold.
Getting rid of dust is very important.
At the front of the machine is a bumper. When you’re grinding close to the edge, the bumper will protect the sponge pad from getting damaged. The pad is 150mm in diameter and uses a hook-and-loop device to hold the paper. Hook-and-loop lets you change your accessories much more quickly and easily.
There are many different ways the holes can be set up, so no matter what kind of grit you use, the holes will always be in the right place for you. This helps pull the dust away from the sand pad, which keeps it from getting clogged up and makes it last a lot longer.

This machine is driven by the wall, so you never have to worry about it running out of juice.
This electric sander has two modes for sanding and five speeds for sanding, so you can choose the best speed and mode for the job. You can choose from the following ways to sand:
- Random circle mode is used for polishing and finishing sanding. The pad moves in an orbital motion with some weak free rotation. You can stop it by putting a hard hand on the machine.
- Roto-orbit mode is for sanding and finishing with a coarse grain. The pad moves in a way that is both orbital and aggressively forced.
