The DJS800 has solid steel blades that can cut clean, straight, and curved lines in fibre cement sheets and boards up to 13mm (1/2″) thick. The Makita 18V brushless motor gives this tool a powerful no-load speed of 3,000spm and makes it weigh only 2.5kg.

The new model has a 360° rotatable swivel shear head with 12 adjustable positions that makes it easier to cut cement board. This gives the user more control so they can work at different angles and put the tool in the best position possible. It also has an ergonomic handle with a soft grip, variable speed control, and a Trigger lock button to make it easy to use when cutting long pieces.

The DJS800 also has a tool hook and a built-in LED job light with an afterglow function to make it easier to see and work in low-light or dark areas.
